Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s instruction to the education department to verify
Mumbai: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has instructed the education department to look into the possibility of starting Class X and XII in a corona-free village in the state. The Chief Minister has directed the department to look into the possibility of starting Class 10 and 12 in the villages which have been corona free for the last few months and will ensure that the villages remain corona free in future also.
The intensity of the second wave of corona in the state seems to be waning somewhat. Against this backdrop, the unlock process has been launched in the state in 5 phases. In some villages in the district, the number of corona is declining. In such villages, testing will be done to start 10th and 12th classes.
A meeting of the school education department was held today under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. The meeting was attended by the Minister of School Education Pvt. Varsha Gaikwad, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte and senior officers of school education department were present.
Meanwhile, a plan is being proposed by the school education department for the government to bear the educational expenses of students who have lost both their parents due to corona.
