Shiv Sena MLA Santosh Bangar broke his FD for the people. The MLA has taken this step to ensure that corona patients get remedesivir injection.
Shiv Sena MLA Santosh Bangar is working in Kalamanuri assembly constituency in Hingoli district. He broke his FD of Rs 90 lakh, to give Remedesivir injection to Corona patients. The MLA is said to have given Rs 90 lakh to a private vaccine distributor.
He has previously given 500 injections to the needy at his own expense. But the number of infected people kept increasing. After that, the injection manufacturing company said that it would cost Rs 1.5 crore for 10,000 injections.
Assets of Rs 92 lakh in election affidavit
Santosh Bangar had declared his assets of Rs 92 lakh in his 2019 election affidavit. From which he withdrew Rs 90 lakh for Corona patients and deposited money in the company as an advance. He said, “Once the injection arrives, the district administration will provide the injection free of cost to the needy. Its first stock will arrive in Hingoli district by Monday evening.”
