Russia’s registration for the Sputnik V vaccine has begun.
Mumbai: Another vaccine has now arrived in India amid growing corona infections. Russia’s Sputnik-V vaccine is now available on the CoWin app for booking. Earlier, people over the age of 18 were being vaccinated with covacin and covshield.
Agreement with Apollo Hospital
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has entered into an agreement with Apollo Hospital for the Sputnik-V vaccine. The Sputnik V vaccine is being administered at the Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. After this, the Russian vaccine will be available in Visakhapatnam, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune.
The cost of one dose is Rs
According to a report in the Times of India, a dose of Sputnik-V at Apollo Hospital costs Rs 1,250. Which also includes hospital charges. According to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, the Sputnik V is priced at Rs 948. Which is subject to 5 per cent GST. The cost of the vaccine was Rs 995.4. Adding the hospital charges, the cost of a single dose is Rs 1,250.
The first shipment to India on May 1
The first batch of Russian Sputnik-V vaccines arrived in India on May 1. After that, Dr. Reddy’s Lab announced the price of the vaccine. 13 Mela approved the Central Drugs Regulatory.
4329 deaths in 24 hours in the country
According to the Union Ministry of Health, 2 lakh 63 thousand 533 people in India have been infected with corona in the last 24 hours. So 4329 people have lost their lives. This is the largest death toll ever. So far 2 crore 52 lakh 28 thousand 996 people have been infected with corona in India. 2 lakh 78 thousand 719 people have died.
