Mumbai: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has leveled serious allegations against the Pakistan Cricket Board. He made the allegations while explaining how the Pakistan Cricket Board selects players. The Pakistan Cricket Board chooses not on the basis of prejudice and the best performance of the players but on the basis of identity.
Malik made the remarks after the PCB selection committee for the recent Test series in Zimbabwe ignored suggestions made by captain Babar Azam. Pakistan won the series 2-0 in Harare.
Malik made the allegation in an interview with Pak Passion.net. We also like and dislike cricket. But the Pakistan Cricket Board is a place where skills are not emphasized. Malika has also said that a lot of things will improve if he gives it.
Players should be selected on the basis of their qualifications and skills. Captain Azam should also be given the freedom to choose his team. However, Malik has criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board for not doing so.
Pakistan will be coming to India for the T20 World Cup. It is reported that it will be held in 9 cities between October-November. The Pakistan team has also been allowed to come to India to play cricket.
