A 35-year-old woman working in the signals department of the Western Railway has lodged a complaint with the Vasai Railway Police Station alleging physical and mental harassment from her senior officer. Vasai Railway Police has registered a case against the officer and arrested him on the complaint of the woman.
His name is Rajiv Kumar Mandal and in the complaint lodged by the woman, she was being physically and mentally abused by her superiors for the last eight years. The accused had repeatedly committed acts that would embarrass the woman while she was at work. In this case, the female employee had informed her superiors about this. Her complaint was not taken lightly after the woman was informed. She also lodged a complaint with the police as she was fed up with not getting help from her superiors.
This female employee was so fed up with the harassment of her superiors that she was likely to take extreme measures. However, her perseverance and police cooperation have given her hope of getting justice. Meanwhile, the victim was expressing the feeling that I would have had to end my life just as RFO Deepali Chavan had committed suicide after being harassed by her superiors. Now that the senior officer has been arrested by the police, she is relieved of her troubles. However, there is a demand for stern action against this senior railway official.
