The central government has approved the proposal for a high-speed railway line connecting the two districts.
Mumbai / Nashik: The Central Government has approved the proposal for Nashik-Pune High Speed Railway. As this project will give impetus to the development of Nashik-Pune-Ahmednagar districts, it will add financial impetus to the development of these cities. Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Nashik District Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said that all the approvals have been received for the commencement of this project and the work of this expressway is being started expeditiously.
Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal was speaking at a review meeting on land acquisition of Nashik-Pune railway line held at the central hall of the Collectorate on Monday. District Collector Suraj Mandhare, Managing Director of Maharashtra Railway Infrastructure Development Corporation Sachin Kulkarni, Deputy District Collector Vasanti Mali and others were present on the occasion.
The Nashik-Pune semi-speed railway line will be the first of its kind in the country. The project is expected to cost Rs 16,039 crore. I The journey will be completed in just two hours due to the Green Field Semi High Speed Double Line Railway. The project will be funded by the Central Government and the State Government and will be carried out by the Maharashtra Railway Infrastructure Development Corporation. Maharel will be the first corporation to design a railway line to run a semi-high-speed train on a broad gauge route. Bhujbal has also said that a proposal will be submitted to start Igatpuri to Manmad semi high speed railway line with these three districts.
The train will run at a speed of 200 kmph
The project, including land acquisition, is expected to be completed in three-and-a-half years and the train will run at a speed of 200 kmph. This railway line with parcel van facility is connected to Ojhar and Pune airports in Nashik and will be connected to cargo transport. Nashik Road, Shinde, Mohdari, Sinnar, Dodi, Palaskhede, Sonewadi, Sangamner, Ambhire, Sakur, Jambut, Bota, Ale Fata, Bhorwadi, Narayangaon, Manchar, Rajgurunagar, Chakan, Wagholi, Kelwadi, Manjari, Hadapsar, Pune Passenger traffic will be speeded up on this included railway line. Also, all the stations on this expressway should be convenient, Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has informed the concerned department.
Industry and agriculture centers will be connected by railways
Nashik-Pune-Ahmednagar is a thriving belt of industrial and agricultural development in Maharashtra. This railway line will increase the speed of communication between the two cities. The proposed semi-high-speed railway will connect important industries in the three districts of Chakan, Rajgurunagar, Manchar, Narayangaon, Ale Fata, Sangamner and Sinnar with the Krishi Kendra railway line. The project will develop all the three districts and facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce. In addition, land will be acquired through direct negotiations on the Samrudhi Highway to complete the project. 1300 hectares of land will be acquired in 101 villages from these three districts and the land of the farmers will be converted for this project. Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has also said that such farmers will be given proper compensation as per the government decision.
