Heavy rains at these places in the state
Light to moderate rain is expected in many parts of the state on May 16 and 17. In some places, torrential to very torrential rains are expected. Heavy rains are also expected in Mumbai on Monday. Thundershowers are also expected in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Ahmednagar, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Beed, Nanded, Latur, Osmanabad, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia districts on Friday. Rain is also expected in Konkan on Saturday. Heavy rains are also expected in Raigad district from Saturday.
Chance of rain in Vidarbha too

However, torrential rains are expected in the Ghat area on Monday. Kolhapur, Satara has been appealed to take care of the ghat area on Sunday and Monday. The area may receive some torrential to very heavy rainfall. In Vidarbha too, the intensity of rains may increase slightly from Sunday. The meteorological department has forecast light to moderate rains in Akola, Amravati, Buldana, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal districts.
