New Delhi: The Maratha community has been fighting for reservation for many years. The Supreme Court had stayed the reservation. The final verdict will come today. The Maratha reservation case has been listed in the Supreme Court for verdict. Tomorrow will be an important day for the Maratha community. Because the final decision on Maratha reservation will be taken tomorrow.

Maharashtra completed the constitutional process and passed the Maratha Reservation Act unanimously in both the Houses of the Legislature. In the Supreme Court, the state government and the pro-reservation private petitioners made effective arguments on both the 102nd Amendment and the 50 per cent limit. The Center made it clear in the Supreme Court that the rights of the states are not affected by the 102nd Amendment.

All the states also demanded an increase in the reservation limit to 50 per cent. Therefore, I am hopeful that Maharashtra will get justice for Maratha reservation on the basis of quality. That is what Ashok Chavan has said.

The issue of Maratha reservation will be heard in the Supreme Court on Wednesday at 10.30 am. The Supreme Court had on March 26 upheld the verdict. The final result on Maratha reservation will come tomorrow. Adv. Jayashree Patil had challenged the Maratha reservation in the Supreme Court.

Chief Minister Thackeray called a meeting
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting today at 10:30 am before the final verdict of the best court regarding Maratha reservation.

An important meeting will be held at 9:30 am with the members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee and lawyers regarding Maratha reservation.

The meeting will be attended by Ashok Chavan, Minister of the Maratha Reservation Cabinet Sub-Committee, Eknath Shinde, as well as lawyers
