An incident has been captured on a CCTV in Mumbai’s Vikhroli area.
Mumbai: Typhoon Tautke has caused severe damage in many parts of India. The storm hit the Arabian Sea, causing severe damage to parts of the coast. As Mumbai is very close to the coast, the storm has caused a lot of damage in Mumbai as well. There have also been cases of falling trees in many areas. A similar incident has been captured on a CCTV in Mumbai’s Vikhroli area. A tree has collapsed due to a storm in Vikhroli area of Mumbai. No one was injured in the incident, but one woman survived.
Her life is spared just a few seconds apart. The woman slipped under the tree in time and her life is spared.
The storm, which rose from the Arabian Sea, has caused a lot of damage in Mumbai. Various incidents have occurred in the Konkan region of Maharashtra due to severe cyclones. Authorities say six people have been killed and three sailors are missing after two boats sank in the storm.
In Raigad district, 3 people have died due to this storm. A boat driver has died in Sindhudurg district. Two persons were killed when trees fell at Navi Mumbai and Ulhasnagar in Thane district.
Rain breaks record in Mumbai
Water is stagnant in many parts of Mumbai. There has also been huge damage due to falling trees and rocks. The storm caused hoardings to collapse in the Khar area of Mumbai. In some places, the subway was flooded, causing traffic jams.
Mumbai’s famous Bandra-Worli sea route has been closed for two days. Mumbai received 230 mm of rainfall in May due to the storm. Meteorologists claim that for the first time in history, the month of May recorded the highest rainfall in 24 hours.
