Ferruccio Lamborghini was a prisoner of war. When he returned to Italy, he opened a small garage and converted military equipment into farming tractors. His timely venture turned him into a millionaire, and later the inventor of the most talked-about luxury sports car: Lamborghini
The company was founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini. He was a wealthy businessman who earned his fortune by building slow-moving farm tractors. Away from the office he enjoyed driving fast cars, but he always complained that the clutch on his Ferrari 250 GT did not work well. Lamborghini took his complaint straight to the top – all the way to owner Enzo Ferrari.
As the story goes, Ferrari told Lamborghini to stick with driving tractors. In other words – there is nothing wrong with the car just with the driver. Instead, Lamborghini went home and started his own car company. His astrological sign was Taurus, symbolized by a bull, so Lamborghini made the bull his car a company’s powerful logo
Sports car lovers were wild about the very first Lamborghini the 350 GT. They admired its fastback design and V12 engine delivering 320 horse power. The 350 GT was introduced in 1964. Only 120 were made until 1968. In 2005 a mint-condition used model was sold at an auction for more than $315grand
