Twelve hours off after twelve hours of work
Mumbai: So far, a large number of police officers and employees have been martyred due to corona. Against this backdrop, important news for Mumbai Police personnel over 50 years of age comes to the fore. These police personnel will get 24 hours leave after working 12 hours. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagarale has recently issued an order in this regard. The decision has been taken in view of the growing threat of corona infection in Mumbai police.
Senior police officers have been instructed to make temporary arrangements near the police station for employees who are below 50 years of age and whose homes are away from duty.
This order will apply to everyone from constables to police sub-inspectors. The circular also instructed employees to follow Kovid’s rules while on duty and to wear masks and other items.
Last year, people over the age of 55 and their peers were allowed to stay at home.
Since March last year, 8,655 officers of the Mumbai Police have been affected. 102 of them died. Of the corona infected, 7,951 police beat the corona. Meanwhile, 7,551 police returned to duty. Currently 602 police are affected.
