Hungama 2 Release Date Finally Revealed! Here’s When You’d See Paresh Rawal Getting Back Into The Action (Read: Comedy)

Amid the ongoing pandemic, state governments have imposed a lockdown in several parts of the country. With movie theatres being shut due to the lockdown, most of the filmmakers are seen approaching OTT platforms to release their films. The sequel to Priyadarshan’s ‘Hungama‘ is all set to make its way to the OTT platform. As per the reports of Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker is all set to release ‘Hungama 2‘ on Disney+ Hotstar.

The first part was a big hit at the box office as people loved the film and all the characters in it. The sequel to ‘Hungama’ will star Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranita Subhash alongside Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Joshi. In the recent past, many filmmakers have approached Disney+ Hotstar to help them with their movie release on their platform. The OTT platform has had many web series which have got a great response from the audience.

Hungama 2″ will release directly on a streaming platform as theatres in most of the states are shut in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the makers of the film said Monday.

The film, a sequel to director Priyadarshan’s 2003 hit comedy “Hungama”, was slated to hit theatres on August 14 this year.

Hungama 2 marks Shilpa Shetty‘s comeback to Bollywood after a gap of 13 years. The film also stars Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash.

Double Hungama, starring Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal has got a release date. The sequel to the 2003 comedy-drama Hungama, will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from July 23. Directed by Priyadarshan, it stars actors Meezaan Jaffey, Pranitha Subhash, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Ashutosh Rana among others.

During a recent conversation, producer Ratan Jain said, “Hungama 2 is a lighthearted film meant to be enjoyed across all age groups, and we feel it will entertain the audiences and bring some cheer in these trying times. We will release the film on a digital platform this year and movie lovers can enjoy the laugh riot at the comfort of their homes. We have made Hungama 2 with utmost love and we are confident that our film will bring a smile to people’s faces.”

Hungama 2 is all set for an OTT release on July 23 while the trailer of the Priyadarshan directorial, toplined by Paresh Rawal and Shilpa Shetty, drops on July 1.

Shilpa Shetty announced the news on Instagram sharing a poster of the film. “Can’t keep calm, kyunki ab hoga Hungama! #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex #Hungama2 trailer coming out on July 1st on Disney+ Hotstar VIP! You don’t want to miss this!” she wrote.
