Some banks have allowed their customers to withdraw unlimited cash from ATMs.

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has hiked its fees for free ATM withdrawals. So now customers will have to pay more to withdraw money from ATMs. According to a circular issued by the RBI, the fee will be applicable to consumers from August. In such cases, some banks have allowed their customers to withdraw unlimited cash from ATMs. Many private and government banks in the country have offered free service to withdraw money 3 times from other bank’s ATMs in metro cities. Also, non-metro transactions are 5 times free if done through another bank’s ATM.

In rural areas, transactions from ATMs are allowed a maximum of 5 times. Banks that offer unlimited free cash withdrawals to their customers include IndusInd Bank, IDBI Bank and Citi Bank. In other banks
Cash withdrawal charges have now been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 21.

The RBI has allowed banks to charge Rs 17 instead of Rs 16 as interchange charge. The financial transaction fee has been increased from Rs 5 to Rs 6. According to Bankbazar, if you are a customer of IDBI Bank or are thinking of opening a bank account, you are getting free unlimited transactions from ATMs. IndusInd Bank also offers you a free service to withdraw money from ATMs.
