Chief Minister’s instructions to the Collector
Mumbai: Considering the danger of the third wave of Kovid, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given important instructions to all District Collectors. The Chief Minister appealed to the districts to immediately set up their oxygen projects in any case and keep stocks of essential medicines. These components should be given immediate benefit as per the public package for the weaker components during the restriction period. Not only the declaration but also the instructions for its actual implementation have been given to the language authorities. The Chief Minister interacted with the Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, Municipal Commissioners regarding the Kovid situation through a televised system.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, “We have to be very careful now and plan for the next third wave.” Strict restrictions do not immediately reduce the number of patients. Even so, we were able to prevent the projected large patient growth by imposing strict restrictions on time.
Speed of vaccination is important to prevent the third wave but adequate and timely supply of vaccine is essential. We have now announced free vaccinations for citizens between the ages of 18 and 44. However, it will have to be planned on supply and its implementation in the districts will also have to be carried out properly, said the Chief Minister.
Permission has been granted to set up oxygen plants. In any case, the district administration should ensure that adequate oxygen is available for the patients in the future. The Chief Minister clarified that there will be no reason for this.
