New Delhi: On the one hand, the country is battling an epidemic like Corona. On the other hand, the administration has been put to sleep by the dangerous Zika virus. In Kerala, 15 cases of Zika virus have been detected. According to ANI, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that earlier, 14 patients were registered in the state. Now this number has reached 15.
State Government on High Alert
“We are closely monitoring the symptoms and consequences of the Zika virus,” said Health Minister Veena. The state government is on high alert. An action plan is being worked out to stop the spread of Zika virus in Kerala. There is a serious focus on the current situation.
The first person to be infected with Zika virus in Kerala was a pregnant woman. The woman and her baby are recovering. 19 samples of Zika virus have been sent to NIV’s laboratory in Pune. Of these, 13 samples have tested positive. We have since sent 14 samples for testing again. In it they have all come negative.
A central government team is expected to visit the state. But there is nothing to fear about this virus. Currently the situation is under control.
