Cyclone Toukte has hit the coast of Goa

Panaji: Cyclone Toukte has hit the shores of Goa, where high waves are rising in the sea. On the shores of Goa, stormy winds have taken the form of nature. The disaster management team is on alert as torrential rains along with storms are also continuing in the coastal areas of Goa. The administration is taking care that there will be no loss of life in the coastal area.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is on alert against the backdrop of cyclone Taukte. Corno patients have also been moved from the coastal area to other hospitals. The hurricane is likely to pass through Mumbai at high speed.

Following the warning given by IMD, high alert has been issued on Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu and other beaches. From here the hurricane is likely to take on a larger intensity. It is expected to cross the coast of Porbandar, Gujarat on the afternoon of May 18.

Cyclone is likely to hit the Gujarat coast. Meanwhile, the meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in Ratnagiri, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg due to the formation of a low pressure belt in the Lakshadweep sea area. At the same time, the district administration has warned fishermen not to go to sea for fishing as strong winds are likely to blow. Meanwhile, an ‘Orange Alert’ has also been issued.

The southeastern part of the Arabian Sea and the adjoining Lakshadweep region are likely to have low pressure belt. Its intensity increased further. The area is expected to turn into a cyclone by May 15 and reach the Gujarat coast by the evening of May 18. Given these developments, the intensity of the warning for Maharashtra has increased. According to the latest forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur and Satara districts have been given ‘Orange Alert’ for Sunday and Monday and Pune district for Monday. The meteorological department has appealed to be prepared for the coming situation.
