Corona: Third wave threat to Maharashtra, preparations by the state government

After attending the review meeting with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Tope said the meeting discussed various issues including Covid-19 management and vaccination. He said the CM stressed on the oxygen plant so that corona patients do not suffer from lack of oxygen. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the government would not tolerate the lack of oxygen in view of the third wave of corona. So make adequate arrangements from now on. ‘

Regarding the fourth phase of vaccination, Rajesh Tope said that vaccination cannot be started from May 1. He said the state does not have adequate stocks of vaccines, thus vaccination cannot be started. Rajesh Tope said there should be enough stocks for at least five days to start the vaccination campaign. “We need at least 20 to 30 lakh doses so that vaccinations can start for people above 18 years of age,” he added.
