Mumbai: Extreme levels of rainfall have been warned in some parts of the state, including Konkan and Mumbai. Earlier, unseasonal rains in the state had raised concerns among farmers. But now the administration’s concern has been heightened by warnings of heavy rains. Heavy rains lashed several districts in the state over the past week. In some places, the heat wave had intensified. Even today, torrential rains have lashed many parts of the country. (Heavy Rain Alert in mumbai and konkan)
Extreme levels of rainfall were warned in Mumbai and Konkan. The Heavy Rainfall was warned by the Meteorological Department (IMD Alert) between June 9 and June 12. The Chief Minister directed all the agencies to be ready and vigilant. Kovid patients have also been instructed to move to safer places.
The instructions have been issued for deployment of NDRF and SDRF units in the state. The Chief Minister had held a meeting with the disaster management agencies after the meteorological department warned of heavy rains.
