In it, he said, a national system on the subject would be set up soon. Through which registration of vintage vehicles will be possible. The policy regarding vintage vehicles has been approved by the Ministry of Law. But the policy remains to be implemented. The registration process will be possible after the implementation of this policy.

How much will it cost to register?
According to a draft issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, registration of old vintage vehicles will cost Rs 20,000 per car. Its validity will be 10 years. After that, the vehicle owner will have to pay Rs 5,000 for re-registration.

Limited use of vintage vehicles
According to the notification, the vintage motor vehicle will only be allowed to be driven for demonstration, technical research, car rallies, refueling, etc. Its purpose will be to preserve the old vehicles in India.
