Mumbai: 7th Pay Commission Latest News Today: Big news for central employees. The central government has given a big shock to its employees after the news of 28 per cent inflation allowance from July 1. There were reports that government employees were being considered for an increase in their monthly basic pay. However, the government has refused to consider raising the monthly basic salary of central employees. The government has given an explanation in this regard. Therefore, there will be no increase in the basic salary.
The government said this
In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on July 28, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said the Center was not considering any such scheme. The fitment factor of 2.57 was applied uniformly for all categories of employees for the purpose of fixing the salary in the revised pay structure based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Consider increasing the monthly basic salary
The Minister of State for Finance was answering a question in Parliament. In it, a question was asked, is the central government considering increasing the monthly basic salary of the employees after undoing the inflation allowance and inflation relief as per the fitment factor based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission?
The increased salary will come in September
According to the information received, central employees are currently getting 17 per cent DA. But, from July 1, 2021, it has been increased to 28 percent. This dearness allowance will come in the salary for the month of September. DA was increased by 4 per cent in January 2020, then by 3 per cent in June 2020 and by 4 per cent in January 2021. Now you have to pay these three installments. But, employees are still waiting for the June 2021 inflation allowance data. This data may be released soon. According to AICPI data, inflation allowance will be increased by 3% in June 2021 under the 7th Pay Commission. If that happens, the total DA will be 31 percent. 31 per cent will be paid along with the September salary.
HRA also increased with DA
The government has also ordered to increase the dearness allowance (HRA) of central government employees. As a rule, the HRA has been increased because the DA is more than 25 per cent. Therefore, the central government has increased the house rent allowance by 27 per cent. In fact, the Department of Expenditure had issued an order on July 7, 2017 stating that when the inflation allowance exceeds 25 per cent. So the house HRA will be improved. The inflation allowance has risen to 28 per cent since July 1, so the HRA also needs to be revised.
