Mumbai: Chimukalya Vedika Shinde from Pimpri Chinchwad was suffering from a genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Rs 16 crore was collected from the public for her treatment and injections were provided. For this, her parents had sacrificed their lives. But Vedika died. On the evening of August 1, while playing Vedika, she suddenly had trouble breathing. She died at the hospital.
Her parents had struggled to get Vedika treated and get an expensive Rs 16 crore injection. Rs 16 crore was collected from the public for her injection. Zolgensma was also vaccinated at a private hospital in Pune in June. However, despite all these efforts, Vedika’s life could not be saved.
